Ford made a 250 inline six and I have owned two of them ..... first was in a 1970 1/2 Falcon ( Torino platform -- a few had 429 SCJ from factory ) and the second is factory in a 1971 Ford Ranchero in my garage now. This inline six has late 289/302/351w/351C block bolt pattern. The 240 you are referring to has a different pattern.
