What are you thinking, AJ? Panty-waist? Some don't even wear panties.

C'mon Rowdy.... you need to think outside the box here. One entry.... three cars... who's to know the difference? This isn't some panty-waist Corvette club (no offense Laurie)... this is Team Pantera Racing. Since when have the rules held us back? (or entry forms for that matter)

What about snow being dumped in the Middle East?:

Stranger things have happened... after all, Mad Dawg retires April 1.

Rules? What "Rules" you talk'in about Bro?? There are NO rules when talking about slipping into the race @ the very last moment. BUT, having an entry on file already before you arrive (& already being on the LONG waiting list) can't help but exponentially increase the chances for success no matter how many TPR cars are involved. I say "BRING'em ON", but think the chances of multiple cars making it from the LEFT coast rates right up there with the chance for 6 feet of snow being dumped on the city of Miami on a summer day...........😵😱

Asa, the MOST important part of the plan involves actually sending in an entry to the event in the first place!! 😎

Oh hey, now THATS a PLAN.
If we could get a bunch of Pantera's to show up, a kind of show of strength, do you think we could all get in?

Well Mark, you're totally correct that I failed last year to keep on all of my little chicks tails when it came to sending in registrations for this years' SORC.........My Bad...... 😞 But keep in mind that if you decide to chance showing up there
with your car ready to race & play it right there's a good chance you'll get a spot in the race (wink, wink)! The people of
Arnold just LOVE Panteras & even don't mind putting up with us members of TPR-Central Division when we drink all of
their beer.........!! Hahahaha..........

Bob is like a mother hen always keeping us chicks in line.. Well this year he fell flat and said nothing about SORC registration. Needless to say, I filed late and am now on the long wait list. Bought a ticket to their winter party to help put me in their good graces.

Asa, you're correct about it being too late to get a shot @ making the grid for this years' SORC.........WAY too late! Entries are only accepted on or after the 1st Monday in October for the next years' race. They ALWAYS receive MORE entries on the FIRST day than they have grid spots allotted for the race so all of of the entries that first day are thrown into a "Lottery" barrel & randomly(?) picked out. Too many new racers are hearing how much fun it is and wanting to get on the grid & it's getting harder & more of a crap shoot every year to be picked as a participant! TPR is LUCKY to have Bud, Frank & I in it this year & would have had Mark if he hadn't been several days late getting his entry in & is now on the LONG waiting list. 😞 I'm thinking that Dawgy has been a BAD (??) influence on Mark since he's been running SSCC and has acquired MD's affinity to " sleeping under the porch" WAY TO MUCH!! BTW, passing Tech @ SORC is a piece of cake compared to ANY other ORR anywhere....bar none. If anyone has any questions about the race after checking out their website just give me a call or drop me an email. Is it AUGUST yet?????????? 🏁

Probably the only "update" you slackers will get all year long.
So LISTEN UP!
There may be two feet of snow at my house in Washington, but that's no excuse to not start preparing for the 2017 Open Road Race season. There's always something for everyone, even if the event list isn't near as long as it was 20 years ago with the Gambler's Run, Roadrunner challenge or Bonneville 100, there's still the opportunity to GO FAST on a temporarily closed public road.
Events will come up FAST, before you know it, they'll be gone and you will have missed out, so PAY ATTENTION!
Big Bend Open Road Race - 82 days and counting down, get more info here:
http://www.bborr.com/
Alright you Texas boys... Taphorn, you don't have a hair on your ass if you don't enter and give us a report on this one this year. It's been far tooooooo looooong since BBORR got any TPR awards. Make it happen, and call Kirby and tell him we don't care what he races (Pantera, GT40, Mustang).... just do it.
Nevada Open Road Challenge - 96 days and counting down, get more info here:
http://www.silverstateclassic. com/
We don't see too many Panteras here anymore so anyone who is ready should jump on this one to practice for the SSCC later in the year. Yea... if I had a car ready and robbed a bank I'd be there too.
Sandhills Open Road Challenge - 180 days and counting down, get more info here:
http://www.sorcrace.com/
We have a pretty steady and regular group of racers that frequent this event. Heck, they are putting the west coasters to shame, fielding three or more Panteras on a regular basis. The "team" trophy would keep going to these guys if we had one. This event, like the others, is a blast, except perhaps even more so because you get to sleep with the townsfolk. Read that any way want, but ask Rowdy for the explanation. Slots on this one fill up VERY fast, and it might even be too late to get in for 2017. Again, Rowdy will give us the low-down scoop on this.
Silver State Classic Challenge - 229 days and counting down - get more info here:
http://www.silverstateclassic. com/
This is my favorite. Why? Because it's the closest to me. :) Having a money tree or a gold mine, I'd probably work my way to -all- of the ORR events each year, but then again I'd bet most of you would too. So start buying lottery tickets and share the wealth so we can -all- have a good time racing our Panteras at all the events. This is your President speaking... go make it happen!
Oh yea, and if you are wondering who won the TPR awards for last year? Keep wondering. I've been keeping my trophy girl busy... just not with the trophies <nudge-nudge, wink-wink>. And I wouldn't want to spoil who the winners are by telling you, now would I?
But I -can- tell you who won the presidential election.
Me! Mostly because no other slacker would take it and you wouldn't know what to do with it anyway.
Mini-me Mad-Dawg has spoken,
