Greetings fellow Team Pantera (and other Ford powered) Racing members.

Our friend, Sweet Old Bill (SOBill) has received and graciously thanked TPR for the generous gifts we sent.  Now that he has taken delivery, I feel I can reveal exactly what we did.

We had a little over $140 in donations to use for condolence and sympathy gifts.  With that, TPR sent a couple of items:

Bill first received a very nice flower display (mums) in a very nice tray suitable for display anywhere in the house.

The brightly colored flowers are supposed to last quite a while.  Along with that went a card with our condolences and the names of about a dozen TPR members.

The second item which Bill received today, was a box of steaks from Omaha Steaks:

This was a recommendation from Laurie and I think it went over very well.  Bill was overcome with this gift.  The message we sent along with it went like this:
"On the occasion of Miss Kitty's passing, Team Pantera Racing extends our heartfelt condolences, and hopes this gift will help take care of a few meals during your period of mourning.  From TPR Central and West for your expert assistance and the example of love you showed with your wife."

 Mission accomplished team.
Thank you for your donations so that we could be there for, and help take care of our friend.

 Hi all,
Thank you to those who provided donations, especially to our fellow drivers in Team Pantera Racing - Central Division.  Bob, Bud, Frank, Mark (and anyone else they drag into SORC).

I have sent our sympathies and condolences to Bill, they should arrive next Tuesday... and Wednesday.  I'll fill you in more later.  Just know that your donations were well spent in the interest of taking care of our friend SOBill in his time of grieving.

 Thank you all,
 Asa  Jay

    All,

I just got off the phone with SOBill Taylor. He asked me to share this
   with you all.

His wife was the epitome of a southern belle, just a lovely woman. She
has been suffering a variety of health issues for some nears now and
has been in a long, slow decline. While this end was inevitable, it is
no less sad because of it.

Bill has his son and daughter in law with him, but I ask each of you to
   spare him a thought today.....

It is with the most profound sorrow I must tell you that Kitty, the
light of my life, died from congestive heart failure last night. As
Kitty requested, her ashes will be scattered over the back hill garden
where she spent so many happy hours. This is all too, too sad for
   words.
