Hi all,
For those who haven't been keeping track of these things, POCA is
taking down the DeTomaso email forum. Yes, the forum that has been
going for 20 years and first began with Shane Ingate, is now being
taken off-line by POCA as they transition to a new web hosting company
and new web site. The new web site will boast a new on-line forum
with over 50 specific discussion topics and the hope is that members
will transition to the new forum paradigm, much like the rest of the
Internet today. The new on-line forum is supposed to have a method to
get emails on each topic as well as just going on line to browse. The
one caveat here is that you MUST be a POCA member to access any of
this. POCA president Michael Shortt assures the membership the
archives will be preserved in some way (though you'll probably have to
be a member to browse those as well), and that a new person (Kurt
Byrnes) will be standing up a replacement email forum for those who
still need their "fix" in the same way they are getting it today
(separate from POCA).
For those who have not been members and are not seeking to become a
member of POCA, you'll have to wait to see if Kurt manages to stand up
a replacement with the full archive.
The new web site looks nice on the surface and still needs a few
things brought up to speed, like the photo gallery and some other
things not quite "there" yet. However, the web team needs to get the
new site in place as it is (a good way there mind you) before the Fun
Rally, so they are making the switch-over -today-.
Please note that I am no longer part of any administrative group for
POCA and have no control over the web site or the old Detomaso email
forum.
I will continue to host and moderate this email forum and it seems to
work just fine right now. This one is of course moderated, quiet,
calm and serene; highly focused on pretty much one thing.
Sooo.... does anyone want to talk about pinion angle of the steering rack?
