As I am a little slow on computers, what model should I get?

I've been on their list for a few weeks, and I also monitor a special web site that someone built that monitors five top Pi vendors and lets you know if they are in stock. I've seen them restocked at Adafruit twice but never received an email and they sold out within an hour.
I'll get one yet, no worries.... I'm just bustin' your chops. ;)I have two regular Pi's still... need to get back to playin.

Yes indeed :-) If you want one go to adafruit.com and get on their notification list. Given they are a stripped down Pi you would want the full kit rather than just the 5$ unit by itself unless you already have the various adapter cables :-) Fun little (damned little) computer :-)

By the way... Steve..... trying to find a Pi Zero is like hunting for a first place in the 100 MPH class.

For September? I definitely have time to get the Pi version completed well before that time. I would suggest you get everything installed/wired/mounted and then it will be a 'simple' task to swap memory cards with the new software.
I will be off the grid for a week starting at noon today, estimated time back is next Saturday or Sunday. More on this subject at that time.

Steven,
Do you think I should be making alternative plans regarding a Nav. system this year?
