Oh no doubt about it.

But if I recall, Chevy had fielded the idea of a mid-engine corvette  
back in the late 60's or early 70's I think.  I've seen some vette  
folks say they don't think that's right... engine needs to be in  
front, but hey.... I think it might be kind of cool.
