[TPR] Timing adjustments

Alright, that makes some sense. I was using some other method tonight
and I think it was leading me astray, as can happen easily because I
don't do this very often anymore.

Don't mix vacuum advance and mechanical advance. When the mechanical vacuum is set you can worry about vacuum advance. All is different at high rpm under load rather than sitting in the garage. At high rpm under load the intake vacuum is very different than sitting still. Then look at the manual on you distributor for setting vac. JB

Therefore it appears I'm getting 45 degrees of total movement out of my distributor advance mechanisms (mechanical presumably the only thing affecting top end, but wait).
