[TPR] Racing is upon us

Hey who said that? That's really sweet....(not the run over me with my vette part, but the don't have to bring anything part.) if I bring nothing at all, I'd have to be someone's navigator or serve some other worldly needed service. I am multi-skilled, I can carry extraneous belongings, lend a helmet, cook, bbq, mend holes in racing suits, mix custom drinks like my awesome pomegranate martini w/ Hpnotiq, go shopping, tell bad jokes, retell stories of how my brother and I ran out of gas in the tow vehicle on the way to Ely in the middle of the night on the top of a mountainous road in pitch darkness, towing my Pantera, and had to coast down miles and ended up right in a gas station in some part of Ely; and that's how I know for sure, there is a God! I can measure tire pressures, detail cars except I don't do wheels as well as you'd probably like, and even drive a tow vehicle down to the finish line. I not only aim to tease but to please.

All I'm hearing is excuses. Get the show on the road. Does that mean I'll have to take Paul's decal off.

I have the same problem J B has on work long hours and little time off.
My painter is now working nights on my pantera because it's so damn hot here.....hundred plus every day.
All our concrete pours are also between midnight and 8 in the morning now...which means I'm also working at night.
Our sponsor (Paul) is also working 12 to 15 hours a day so he may not be able to leave since he has a company to run....hoping some new folks will finally show up to run or party but California guys are such pussies...okay kidding..not JB of course

thanks for the offer AJ, but no navigating for me. My car will not be ready for SSCC this year, and I'm not sure yet if I will be going. Might take the motorhome or might just fly, depends on work. We'll see as the time gets closer. Nice to hear Laurie will be there this year!

Alright boys and girls,
I've manually added our FirSSt lady of racing Laurie Ferrari to the TPR
email list since ex-el-presidente' mentioned she was coming to SSCC this
year with the rest of us Pantera misfits.
It's time to get our game on.
Mark just sent word that his Pantera is back together and ready for the
road. He'll be arriving to the SORC on August 5. That's only three
weeks away. So this is a reminder to all our intrepid Pantera pilots
running very soon.
Grab your checklist and make sure you are ready to go.
- Check the expiration dates on your Harnesses
- Check the date codes on your tires
- Check your fire extinguisher
- Check for leaks
- Check your throttle return springs
- Check your personal gear (helmet, suit, gloves, etc.)
For those doing SSCC we'll start going over the list bit by bit in the
coming days, so get ready.
For those doing SORC, now's the time to bone up on the last minute
items, double-check everything and then have your neighbor check it for
you -again-. We want a safe run for everyone.
Rowdy, great job getting the folks motivated. Please, just don't wear
out the Brazilian girls before we can have them for Silver State. Did
Franky get his Pantera ready this year?
Dawg, you better make sure your body/paint man gets ItBeWild done on
time. How's Russ coming along with the engine inspection and refresh?
JB, yea... well... trying to keep a cap on that much estrogen in the
house is tough... so maybe this year you navigate for me instead. If
my car blows up, then we're even. ;) Otherwise let's get Erik and
others on-board to get you back in the race this year.
Everybody else, just make it happen; get it together and bring your
Pantera to SSCC this year. It won't be much longer and you might not
find a Pantera at these events anymore, so do it while you can.
Besides, there might be a $10,000 prize purse this year. Yea... maybe
the SAME prize purse that's gone UNCLAIMED in the last SEVEN years.
Nobody's had the balls to beat the challenge previously but I'd say of
anyone, Mark has the best shot at it this year. If Mark can average 160
MPH and finish the course, and Mad Dog drives slower... the $10K is
his. How's that for some motivation?
As for the rest of us, we need to do some serious fund raising.
Thanks to Mad Dog, we again have sponsorship from Katch Environmental.
From my end I've started a GoFundMe page specifically to get -me- to
SSCC this year. I set a pretty lofty goal but then again I have a
motive to donate half the funds raised to the ISAAC Foundation, a local
charity that provides funding for Autism Therapies in the Spokane area,
and maybe help out the rest of the team too. You can find the GoFundMe
page here:
http://www.gofundme.com/yg84msc
Pass it along via your facebook and twitter accounts (that is if any of
us have one of those things).
Alright, for now keep the shiny side up and look out for more reminders.
