[TPR] Kind of quiet around here

Hi Asa,

The ignition control is slick, works as advertised, expensive.[1] I got
through the install without having to call Mr. Haas with questions - not to
say there weren't questions!

My impression is that all these gizmos have little lights that come on for
various functions, believe this is for trouble shooting. As with ALL
instruction sheets, the writer is SO familiar with design and function that
some little facts are skipped over. But like I said, I got through the
install without having to call Mr. Haas with questions in spite of my
learning disabilities. Mr. Haas is unwilling to review his instructions -
they work and he won't mess with them. Fair?

One tip: I used a flat four trailer connector for a wiring harness when the
switch was installed behind the shifter. Has a plug, too, in case the
console needs to come out.

Another tip: since all Panteras seem to have different wiring I would
suggest labeling the wires ( in my case? two big red, two pink, and another)
1,2,3,4. Mr. Haas may know what each wire is for, but I don't!

Another tip: read the instructions all the way through. Then again with the
guts of your car exposed so you can make notes - your car may be different
color wires than Mr. Haas believes they are . . . .

when you get ready (having spent the $300) you may call me with questions
but I'm sure you can get through it.

Further clarification: I put a switch and relays on my coooling fans because
one fan is always on. If anything ever fails I could run a wire from the
battery to the relay and make the fans work. Now, I can also turn the fan
off during cross country cruise, maybe. Also I want to add a little spoiler
to the hood vents to help suck hot air out - now I can test for improved
function.

You can always call if you need to . . . .

Ciò che è dietro di me non importa.

[1] Now that I know how to wire up a relay, I could duplicate these
functions for under $50. Can't duplicate the protection of the ignition
switch.
