[TPR] Arm restraints

Hey all,

What's the scoop on arm restraints for racing?  How do they work?  do 
they attach to the car or the person?  Does anyone have any photos they 
can provide?

For the 2013 SSCC, I'm looking to move up to the Grand Touring class, 
which requires arm restraints.  I just want to understand them better as 
I begin looking for the right equipment.
