[TPR] The NORC or Fw: Who Is Ready To Go Racing?

Right now I believe we will have one or more TPR members at each of the 4 ORR's coming up this year in either Texas, Nebraska or the two orr's in Nevada (NORC & SS).  
And right now I can say for the NORC, veteran "Mark Skwark" is planning a big run at the NORC in May in his Pantera.  Driving all the way from the right coast which is huge. 

Steve since the BORR is the 1st ORR of the year in Ffort Stockton can you keep us in da loop on who may be planning to attend?.....I think but can't recall that Dave "The Pope" Adin is planning a long awaited return...anyone else? Any true Texans planning to run the BORR? No, not JT I mean like THE HAWK? ;-)

Bob, same-same question to you GI....Let us know who besides YOU is gonna run in August....and don't say Frank again like you have for 5 years in a row! ;-)

I have browbeat Jack DeRyke into running NEWS related or technical related stories for us in POCA NEWSLETTER. He has countered 'bring it on'...... so to that end you distinguished gentlemen and one lady  out dare gotta submit stories to Jack. If Jack decides its more FLUFF then NEWS he will pass it on to Mikey....Yea, Mikey still gets da feature stories but we know Mike has a backlog for Profiles (AJ's story is still sitting in the sue). So again anything you have done to, for, or at, your Pantera that includes anything mechanical and you can tie it to a ORR story so much the better and slip it to Jack....I am gonna do a story on who is the best ORR racer of all time....ah,  well okay I mean the best ORR engineof all time and send that to Jack....the rest of you knuckleheads need to also take some time to share any rebuild/resto/repair store with Jack too.

I may be running the NORC in May if I am not back in Australia this year.......... But if I am there in April I have an agreement that I can still come  back for my wedding anniversary in September which coincidentially enough just happens to occur every year on the same exact long weekend as the SILVER STATE! 

So pleaze don't give me any slacker excuses about it is your dogs birthday or you are repainting your car or it has 850 HP and is too fast or you forgot...all the usual excuses I have used myself which is why I am telling all of you right now you can't come up with an excuse I haven't used at least one time at work or with my family.

If I had wanted any of you to have a life or a family I would have issued you one when you bought your pantera. Now get the Pantera ready. Don't be like the POCA president or Mikey still talking about running an ORR 20 years after they first mentioned they were going to race their pantera at the SilverState. 
Yea, don't be one of those slackers! ;-)

DEADLINES:

Late entries, and                Entries not paid in full, within two weeks prior to the event will add $50.00. This              includes last minute entries on race weekend. “Event” is defined as the day all functions/activities              begin which is the Thursday of race weekend. For                NORC, 2013; entries must be received by May 2, 2013

REGISTRATION:
 Friday and Saturday Resgistration in Ely has a location change! Still at the Bristlecone Convention Center, however, we will be locted in the Pinion & Sage Rooms.  The location of registration on Thursday at Sam's Town Hotel, Las Vegas, will be in the Viginia City Room as usual.                            
 ROOKIES:
We have added a new "Rookie" tab on the website located under Race Preparation. Just some "Fast Facts" to make your first time participation  a little less stressful. We tried to address some of the common questions or mistakes to avoid. http://www.sscc.us/rookies.aspx

CONFIRMATIONS:
I have been trying to get caught up              on entries so if you have already registered prior to              today, I will be sending you confirmations in the next few weeks.  Veteran racers will be receiving theirs via email and Rookies will be getting theirs in the mail that will include a pre-race DVD.

COURSE WORKERS:
As there are no spectator areas on the "Silver State Classic Challenge Highway", aka Hwy. 318, we are always in need of course workers! If your family, friends or crew would like to watch as you race down the road at speed, please have them sign up to be Course Workers! As a course worker they will receive (per gate)  a hat, 2 t-shirts, 2 bottles of water and be entered in a drawing for a chance to win $100.00! (ten gates are pulled). Also, once equipement is returned and verified, they will receive a check from the SSCC for $50.00. 

LUGGAGE TRANSPORT:
If you have a truck or room in your trailers to help with transporting participants luggage to the Finish or R-Place, please let us know so that we can spread the word.
