I for one would be interested in your Hp numbers....chassis dyno?

Chuck,
I just got my engine back last week and did not have time to put it on a dyno. I should be finished installing tomorrow. Plan to start it around noon. My engine builder spent a bit of time on the intake manifold as well as the heads. I'm going to FL on the first and will put the car on a chassis dyno there. I'll post the results. Unfortunately I did not run my last engine on a dyno, so it will be a seat of the pants comparison.

Dear Mark,
I am keen to see how the new engine will do on the dyno. I have read that just the intake swap to the FW increases HP by 20 to 40 horsepower. I have done my best to port the heads, flow test them and port match the FW with the port stuffed heads. I expect improvement and we’ll see by how much compared to the previous engine with the Dominator.
Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

Subject: Re: [TPR] STRIP DOMINATOR INTAKE
I have 2 strip dominators. Would like to try the Funnel Web with a Dominator Carb.

Dear Mark,
Off onto a tangent: I think it is interesting the number of the somewhat rare Holley Strip Dominators we have in TPR. I have one. You have one and Maddog has one. It is a good intake.
I should finish my new engine this year and I will see if the Parker Funnelweb intake is as good as they say.
Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

He told me that not all 4150s are the same. Some are better than others. Some lend themselves to improved performance with tweaks better than others. So, I would touch base with Chuck Nuytten before you plug the trigger on a nominally good used 4150 to make sure that it will meet your needs and Chuck's modifications. FWIW.

I did some searches on craigslist yesterday and I might be able to pick up a good donor 750 for under a hundred bucks. Then just send it off to Chuck Nuytten with my car specs and have him build it for optimum performance. Overall it should be less than about $500. I've got time yet so I'll keep looking and asking around.
