Dear Asa,

Good reasonable plan but.......I spoke with Chuck
Nuytten recently about a custom rebuild of a 4150. We discussed my
current engine build and expected use. He told me that not all 4150s
are the same. Some are better than others. Some lend themselves to
improved performance with tweaks better than others. So, I would touch
base with Chuck Nuytten before you plug the trigger on a nominally good
used 4150 to make sure that it will meet your needs and Chuck's
modifications. FWIW.

                              Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

I'd rather see Peter get it finished, and yea... I think that's too
much carb. I've got a good dual plane intake already. I did some
searches on craigslist yesterday and I might be able to pick up a
good donor 750 for under a hundred bucks. Then just send it off to
Chuck Nuytten with my car specs and have him build it for optimum
performance. Overall it should be less than about $500. I've got
time yet so I'll keep looking and asking around.

Hey if the German isn't gonna finish his Pantera in 2014 you
may be able to talk him into getting the 830cfm blueprinted carb and
Holly Strip Dominator I donated to him....I think its too
much carb and intake for what he built and probablyu too
much for you too but its a hellva carb and intake
