Re Profiles article
Geez dawg give it some time. The poor bastard is getting married in two
days, give him a break. :)
Then there's that little Fun Rally thing he has to get through, then
back home and who knows if they have a honeymoon scheduled after that.
My guess would be you'll see it sometime this summer, like maybe July?
August?

Re SSCC:
I've worked a little bit on a budget; it looks like a GO.
My Dad will accompany me, but says he won't navigate because he won't
let me buy him a helmet. I'm nearly certain he'd love to ride along and
he has everything he needs from his military days, except the helmet.
He didn't even let me get a word in after I said "You'll need a
helmet." He shut it down quick. I think it's because he honestly
didn't want me spending an extra $300 just so he could nav, on top of
the navigator fee.

So... does anyone have an SA2010 helmet laying around they could loan me
in September? <nudge-nudge, wink-wink>

Otherwise, my Dad will be happy to drive a rig from Ely to the 318
junction if anyone needs it, and will meet me there for the drive back
to Ely.

I'm looking at hotels now and plan to have reservation made in the next
week or two. I'm planning on a Wednesday late arrival and an early
Monday departure from Ely. We'll forgo the banquet in Las Vegas to save
time on the return trip.

Entry Class... yea... I'm planning on probably 120 or maybe 125,
whichever tends to get fewer entries. The Pantera seemed to run well at
120 MPH for nearly the entire course until I dropped it down to about 90
in a vein attempt to scrub off time. Dang 120 felt good. :)

Re the engine build. Hey, if it weren't for a lot of great feedback
from many folks on this list, most importantly Mr. Fulp, I may not have
done as good a job. Many thanks to all. I don't know how long it will
last and I know it wasn't a real high horsepower build, but it feels
good. Hopefully in the next five to 10 years I'll build another much
more powerful engine. Mhuuuooohoooohahahahaha.
