I believe the Pantera is ready.

Filled her with gas today and took Sam on a ride to Radio Shack. It was
probably a 30 mile round trip maybe more. I wanted to pick up a
magnetic mount CB antenna.

Today, I did some finish work on the interior. Installed the GPS
antenna, GPS power cable and suction cup mount to determine routing of
the cables and position of the GPS for best viewing. Then I installed
the small Uniden CB I've been meaning to for 13 years. It has an easily
removable microphone so I can take it out during the race. The antenna
we picked up then got installed as well. Out for travel, in for racing.

Vacuumed the heck out of the interior, seats, floor mats. Polished the
dash, console, door panels and firewall cover. Installed the seats.
Washed the windows (all except the rear) with Rain-X planned for later
this weekend. Inserted the truck tub and vacuumed it. Put my standard
kit in the tub: wheel cleaner/polish, instant wash, polishes, towels.
Tire gauge, gloves, eye protection, 90* radiator hose (the only
under-car piece that's -not- Gates Green Stripe), California duster and
reflective pop-up window shade.

The drive to Radio Shack and back was uneventful. Though we never saw
above 45 MPH. Tomorrow, I think we'll go on a shake-down cruise
somewhere and try to put a hundred miles on it at speeds up to 70 MPH.

I'm going to try and get her in the air for an under-car inspection.
Things always look different when you can get under it better. I need
to begin putting my race clothes in a bag and put together a tool kit.

I need to build my checklists yet. Still have a way to go, but getting
there.

No photos until I can get more server space, sorry.
