Those wienies at the tire shop put metal valve stems in like I asked,
but then used plastic caps with o-rings . (the rear wheels take two
valve stems). I had four DeTomaso logo aluminum valve caps from the
Campys, but needed two more caps for the rears. So I picked up a
handful from Napa today; just the very plain silver metal with o-ring
seal. I'll carry them with me since Blue mentioned something about one
of the most common "fails" in tech was for not having metal valve stem
caps. Maybe having them will help some other soul pass tech. :)
Found the factory alignment specs (again) -and- the specs they left the
car at the last time. Those settings felt soooooo good the last time
they aligned it, I want to make sure we have that same good feeling
tomorrow.
I need to pick up a small bottle of Windex for the road, pack my tool
list and I think the car will be ready for the road trip.
I'm seriously considering leaving the tub at home. I think I can get
all my clothes into a bag that will fit up front in the footwell. I'll
put all the tools and spare parts in another one or two bags in the
front trunk. Then all I have to do is find someone like Mad Dawg with a
little cab space in their truck for a couple of bags, instead of a huge
tub. I'll be do some test packing this weekend. :)
Still working on a set of course notes. I've got all the inputs I need,
I just have to figure out exactly what I want to use, print and post.
We are getting close boys and girls.
