[TPR] Electronic speed sensor

Hey all,
Since the DeTomaso email list has gone missing in action, I have a new 
question to post.

I've been doing a little research on electronic speed sensors for the 
ZF.  My objective is an in-line sensor that won't interfere with the 
present stock speedometer.  The idea is to hook it up to a datalogging 
device in order to measure distances via the rear wheels.

There was some talk of these some time ago and all the references I can 
find lead me to this sensor:

But it isn't apparently readily available, except perhaps through ebay.

I thought for sure there was another alternative but can't find it.  
Autometer sells one but I'm not certain it's the right thread for the ZF:

If anyone has experience, Kirby or Mike Trusty maybe, having run GT-40s 
with ZF transmissions and electronic speedometers, please let me know 
what you've found.
