Asa Jay,
My oil pan has the front bung, too. Before anyone gets too excited, yes we realize the oil runs hotter at various places. We just need to monitor the temp- wAy too hot, get a big cooler. Borderline, maybe a small cooler? Or bigger pan more oil?
Also, we knowif there is a sudden change in temps it is time to check details, right?
My duraspark ii has served me well.
I've been installing a VDO mech gauge set as I go. More about this later. Also installing some switches (that I can reach while strapped in) and some tidy work.
Get that radiator pressure tested so you can make an informed decision. Duh.
