Unsure of drivers side leak. I've not inspected the engine closely to
try and tell. Based on knee-jerk reaction, it could have been intake
sealing at the front, or the oil pan on that side or where it meets
the front cover.
I had the front cover off several years ago to replace the timing gear
set and chain (stock one finally lost the plastic bits on the aluminum
cam gear). So it may be I never really got it sealed well when
putting it back together.
The radiator is coming directly from Fluidyne after changes in both
their manufacturing process and their shipping process. They found,
based on my feedback, the radiator was not being built to their
quality specs; some problems in the tanks they were sourcing from
somewhere else. They got right on that, and they improved the
packaging for the radiator. They claim they tested the new radiator
packaging by shipping one to California and back by ground. We'll see
how good it is when the box shows up at my house next week.
The new performance radiators for Pantear, Cobras and GT-40s are now
5-row instead of three. Not sure if that's a gain or not, but that's
what it is.
