well, there ya go and put more pressure
on me. :) Just got the idle and timing set, but
gotta go to work now till 2am. I gotta button
up all the little stuff, put on the air cleaner
and ducting, put on the rear deck lid, inner
fender cover, tires, etc. Will have to wait
till tomorrow night. If it all looks good and
it drives well, I'll go get the trailer on
Tuesday night and leave on Thursday.
There still is hope to get to Silver
State......

On the never ending saga of Pantera
fixes JB (John Bentley) found and fixed a
couple things including the rear tail
lights which turned out to be a lose
ground wire at the tail light assembly.
also needed a couple bulbs replaced no
doubt from ground shorting out.....but I
got a nice 15 minute road test again on
San Dimas and everything checks out.
So the plan is to leave Tuesday night
after work and spend the night so should
be headed to Ely Nevada on Tuesday
night....gonna take a night and a day to
get there late Wednesday just to chill and
relax..BIGGER NEWS is
JB got his engine running and other
then re-setting jets and timing his engine
sounds awsome....I know he's gonna want to
kick my ass for reporting his progress but
he will have to wait until he gets to Ely
now..HAHAHA.
If anyone ever had more good excuses
not to make it to finish his engine and
car for Silver State it would be
JB....he's got biz issues, trailer is in
SAC, he needs to do much more then I even
commented on but he's going for it. I
hope this inspires <grin> some of
you other slackers to join us.
