Geez, all those years wasted trying to get a few things past NASCAR, NHRA
and SCCA Tech inspectors....
never safety items, in fact, they made use remove extra bracing once because
( the part time inspector , full time postal worker )
thought he knew more than the aeronautical engineer on my crew who put the
braces on to start with.
It is what it is.........
If it isn't in the rules, then it should be OK, the great thing about A, B (
old days ) C and D sports racing cars in that those classes have the fewest
rules
I designed, built, installed and THEN had to remove moveable surface rear
wings in the 1980's, the EXACT same thing that is now allowed in Formula
One.
It doesn't always pay to be ahead of the pack.
