Team Pantera Racing would like to point out our members strive to be
within the rules at any event, recognizing that "pushing the boundary"
is a matter of having a well prepared car and driver. Tech rules
for the most part are designed to prevent problems on the course, to
ensure safety of both the drivers and those on course and hopefully
make for an enjoyable experience for everyone.

We may be rough, we may be jerks at times and we may thump our chests
with a good story or two but when it comes to safety and car prep, we
don't wish to screw around.

Circumventing a tech inspection by presenting the car, having it pass
and then make changes affecting those safety or mechanical items is
not something we do. This is why we take great pains, months ahead of
time in order to make sure our vehicles are prepared properly.

To that end I have emailed the tech inspector and asked what the
ruling would be. If spacers are not allowed then they are not
allowed. If that is the case we are then in a position to investigate
other options such as a different backspace.

For all we know at this moment, the wheels in question will fit fine
without spacers. We're just trying to get as much data ahead of time
if we need it.

... and then I can make some updates to the TPR site.
