Ummm... Bud,

That bump in the line of the first drawing indicates it goes -around-  
the other line.  So both that drawing and your corrected drawing  
essentially show the same thing for routing oil to the distributor  
shaft and cam thrust washer.  The line may be straight in the block,  
but the drawing indicates the flow does not intersect the line coming  
from the oil filter, not if the bore is straight or curved.
