Its an impressive demonstration. Thanks for sharing.
I've been personally involved in the design, installation and testing of several
security perimeter intrusion barriers and other security projects and
unfortunately they don't help the average Joe or Abdullah . They works great if
you are a pencil dick sitting behind a desk in a embassy or another armored
building 100 meters from point of impact....notice the Mercedes wasn't
'packing'....if it had been packing lets say 20,000 bombs of high
explosive...nothing sophisticated just daisy chained 155mm shells or 122 mm
rockets or whatever fertilizer they could sheeit out it would be a different
kind of demonstration if you know what I mean ;-)>

The biggest risk just about anyplace in the Middle East is still needing to be
on any road at any time with unarmored vehicles like we in convoy with security
or even if you are in armored vehicles where Taliban has set IED's every single
night people are still going to get fokked up.....they've set reinforced K-rail
around public suq or markets and the best security meassures have helped but
then shoppers stop going to town. And the barriers won't stop suicide bombers
with vests walking into pretty much where ever they want to travel.

Headed back to LA via Dubai on Thursday.
