The rules of hot rodding apply here....on your, "two hoses that go nowhere"....
1) Eliminate them
2) Plumb them to valve cover breathers or catch can
Push in breather's are for girls. Have a set of 'stub-ups' welded to your valve
covers. If you are welding the stub ups onto cast alum DeTomaso valve covers or
'chrome' Ford Racing valve covers find someone who is good...even if you don't
like the look of the stub ups there is a fix for that as well....just secure the
breathers all the way down on top of the valve cover and hardly anyone except
Mikey will notice you did something functional but not stock! ;-]>

Subject: [TPR] Valve cover breathers
If I remove the stock air cleaner from my 351C engine in the Pantera, in
order to install a K&N drop-base air cleaner with filter and filter
top... I will have two hoses that go nowhere.
- oil fill cap breather hose to stock air cleaner
- charcoal canister vent tube to stock air cleaner
What's a guy to do?
I see there are some nice breathers available but what is the best
recommended solution to my predicament? Should I get a simple push-in
breather that I can put in the oil fill cap? Is there a better breather
solution that can replace the cap? How did -you- do it?
Then, what about that pesky charcoal canister? Should I simply remove
it and place it gently on a shelf with a tag for future restoration? If
I do that, what do I do with the vent hose from the fuel tank?
I feel like such a novice.
