OK, maybe.... but doubtful. :-)
Yes, I had to sit there where I ended up until the session was finished and then slowly drive back into the pits sulking the whole way...

Last time we were at TWS in October last year, my daughter was driving the Pantera and I was attempting to get the GT40 to run right.
Long story... another episode for later.

After the beginners drivers meeting and the beginners had been out for one session, my daughter said everyone kept commenting to her saying 'Wow! We're impressed! You're driving a Pantera and it's your first time out? Those are difficult cars to drive!!!'

'So how are you doing?' was my question back to her.

'Well, Dad.... I'm passing people now and I almost lost it, but my instructor said I did good to correct!'

Yeah.... it's a Pantera.

:-))))

I'm going to brag a little now... I took the Pantera out for a session after that... First time I'd been in it on the track for 8 years.
I was very happy how it handled. Even with the street tires. Very neutral. You can almost drive it with the throttle.
It's taken me years to get the car to that point and I've gone against almost all 'recommendations' on the forum, but it works.

I hate to admit it, but I let a Corvette guy drive it one session.... He came back and was very complementary.
For a 70's car (it's older than him) he said, 'Very neutral handling! I'm impressed! Didn't expect that!
You need more horsepower though.... '

OK, working on that.... but honestly guys... I won't try that hard.
The GT40 goes way beyond what a Pantera can do.

I'll slink back in my corner now...

At the driving school I attended last year, they kind of expected the beginner groups to spin as they figured out their limitations. On day two, I spun twice with the instructor in the car, same corner, different reasons. Each time I was nearly amazed at the instructors calm. Each time I got grounded and hat to sit out the rest of the session.
