Well, there are three belts. The water pump belt fits snug, no tensioner. The compressor has slots in the mount, but not much play. The alt is driven off the ac compressor and it's all very tight in there

John,

Might I recommend a belt tensioner from Pantera Performance Center. I
don't have a photo handy, but I understand it's the cat's meow with
Kirk's kit. This allows you to properly tension the belt without
having to size one "just right" across two pulleys. It works similar
to the stock tensioner but is placed differently on the front of the
engine. If I remember, I'll try looking up the part in my photos when
I get home.

its winter-time man, all the pantera's are comfortably up on their
jackstands getting ready for spring! :) I'm installing my Kirk
Evans flat firewall kit and finding out its not all that simple. I
think I'll need a selection of belts in quarter-inch increments, and
a lot of beer..... :) Oh, and a new bit for my die grinder.

That?s funny, Has anybody even discussed a pantera since the list
started? The only car story I remember was the rust bucket thing? J

Boyz, Off to dinner with family and flying to Dubai in the AM so
will catch up to all of you and our Alaska, hunting, and range
stories in a couple days. Hopefully one of you slackers has a
Pantera question before the winter is over. I've run out of
beer! ;-]>
