its total BS........... I supppose it could have happened one time but as soon
as this FUBAR scenerio was reported it would NEVER happen again. I know for a
recent fact that all military flights that depart from any civilian airport
bypass all civilian security checks,......I know this from flying into and out
of Iraq, Saudi and Afghanistan including BagRam with a H!!) and also working at
LAX where we saw flights coming and going.

Any departing or arriving civilian flights may have active duty military in
BDU's but they are not carrying any weapons.......and military flights all most
always take off and LAND in military airfields....then they taxi to apron where
buses roll up and military personnel with weapons get on the buses..... where
they are escorted DIRECTLY to a base and NOT through any fokking TSA or other
foreign SECURITY pointsstaffed with old men, fat women and pimple faced
kids....the only GI's going through civilian TSA security are ones who
transfered with NO WEAPONS on civilian commercial or leased airlines.....unless
you count clippers as weapons no weapons ever get transported officially and
only go through unofficially in sealed diplomatic packages.

One last thing......everyone on active is usually required to fly in the BDU's
(fatigues)....this is something that did not occur during Nam years as military
left it up to the GI whether or not he wore his uniform (I always did)....that
suggestion that wearing your dress uniofrm was an 'option' sort of reinforced
the anti-military sentiments of the time.....

But since 9-11 every swinging dick by order of the Secretary of Defense is
obligated to wear his BDU's or dress uniforms on military paid commercial or
military flights. I know Army and Marines wear their BDU's.....Exceptions are
provided for SpecOps, Navy and maybe USAF slackers and others sometimes just
ignore the rule but it is the rule.

Subject: [TPR] FW: Welcome Home, boys

This can't be true, but it does highlight the stupidity of the TSA! :)
