[TPR] NPC - BANGKOK SFC Castorini - MANLOVE

I hear ya.  I have lived and worked in Bangkok and also used to fly out of M.E. 
and use Bangkok as my connection point from west coast.......I have to be honest 
with you guys and tell you Bangkok is going through some pretty hard and sad 
times now. Like Saudi Arabia most of the Americans are gone from Bangkok. Allot 
of Nam Vets and retired military moved there in 60's through the 80's but most 
of those guys have left or have died. Part of the fun of being there was seeing 
so many guys there but I remember one time Pattaya Beach where you may have 
visited when  acarrier fleet was anchored off shore....Little Pattaya Beach was 
invaded by thousands of swabs and while there was plenty of bars and good places 
to eat in Pattaya Beach ther was only ONE Mexican restaurant...it was owned by 
an American expat who was married to a Thai woman....and if you went by his 
place when the fleet was in the guys standing OUTSIDE the restaurant/bar 
outnumbered the sailors inside.....it was a very cool site.
MD, counting the days I still have on R&R so my painfully long stories will 
continue ;-)

Well that was a great story Mad  Dog -------------- but actually the R&R part 
brought back the most memories for an old West Pack sailor. Bangkok, What a 
Place !! !!
