I was there in the early to mid eighties. My dad was stationed at Roosevelt
Roads. I have been back a couple of times for a few weeks to train guys
there though.
To comment on Cuba, about six months ago Castro made a public statement on
TV of all places that communism was not working for his country. I see this
as hope that one day Cuba will be liberated and can become a successful
tourist country again.

Sounds like that is why they were nearly extinct until the late 70s early
80s. Some of my dogs are from Puglia. I ate my share of dogs in Puerto Rico.
Best dam pinchos I ever had... Always went back for more....

I like Italian dogs. In fact, I like them a lot !
We eat them all the time down there in the South of Italy, near Brindisi in
Puglia :>)) facing Albania, where there are champions when it comes to
cooking on the BBQ ( huge experience during WWII)
Gorgeous on the BBQ, not like " the dancing dog " in China, but close. ( I
am not picky )
Oh, BTW, anyone out there who has a Fontana 9.5" deck taking dust that could
be for sale for Xmas ? Santa hasn't found my " present" yet.
Pat ( preparing a gorgeous GR4 replica for fun with friends... It's about
time the Dawg learns how to properly drive on a "real" track like Spa,
Monza, or may be... Abu Dhabi. Didn't he used to train camels out there
recently ? )
